Releasing new products isn’t just a numbers game at Ryco Filters says Marketing Manager Melissa Simpson, it’s about the customer. “The Ryco Group subscribes to an innovation practice defined as “change that adds value”. This understanding, in conjunction with learning the Best Practice Innovation Process, has opened collective thinking across the business to the endless possibilities that can stem from innovative thoughts.
One of the strongest of these innovation ideologies is identifying and addressing ‘customer inconveniences’ or ‘customer peeves’, utilise the innovation process and develop an outcome that will make filter servicing easier for the customer.” The release of the new Oil Filter Cap range follows on from the Ryco Tool program which was the first of these programs to be developed through the utilisation of this philosophy process.
Product Manager Jeff Turner is one of the business’ ‘Innovation Black Belts’ who has participated in the Innovation training program and says that the process allows the customer, aka filter user, to stay front of mind. “We are always pleased to be offering our customers more filter servicing solutions,” says Jeff.
“The new range of Ryco Oil Filter caps allow the mechanic to replace cracked or worn oil filter caps with confidence,” says Mr Turner. “They come supplied with the required seals, are made of high strength glass filled nylon or aluminium cap designs for long service life and list torque values to provide correct tightening guidance,” said Jeff Turner.
‘We understand that a simple oil filter cap replacement is routine in the workshop but by providing the torque values in the pack, it becomes a quick and important reminder for the fitter to tighten the housing cap to the specified torque to achieve the best seal and function from the replacement parts.’
In cartridge oil filter application’s, the cap’s function is to locate and seal the oil filter into the filter housing. A quality direct replacement oil filter cap such as Ryco Oil Filter Caps will create the proper seal conditions so the filter will be able to perform in the critical filtration areas of Efficiency, Life and Flow. The caps are conveniently designed as a direct replacement and, in some cases, offer an improved design for increased cap life.
The new part numbering for the range will be prefixed with RFA, from RFA200 through to RFA208 and cover are suitable replacement parts for popular applications such Toyota Corollas with R2620P, Nissan Narara D22 with R2593P and more.
